Description

STARFRUIT IS MOSTLY GREEN ON MANY MARKETS. WE TRY TO EXPORT THEM AT AT LATER STAGE OF THE RIPENING PROCESS, THEN THEY ARE YELLOW AND MORE EATABLE THAN THE GREEN UN-RIPE FRUITS. THIS HAS THE CONSEQUENCE OF A SHORTER SHELF-LIFE.

THE STARFRUIT IS ARE VERY SENSITIVE FRUIT, THEREFORE WE ARE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WHEN PACKING THEM, THEY ARE PROTECTED BY A FOAM NET, SO THERE IS BASICALLY NO BRUISING.

THE FRUITS ARE MOSTLY CONSUMED FRESH OR IN SALADS. CAN  BE PICKLED OR USED TO BE MIXED IN JUICES.

AVAILABILITY: JULY TO NOVEMBER EACH YEAR.
